The winds had calmed down by the time Sylvia and I got in the air. I think it was about 6:45 before we took off. We had to go get gas before we could leave and the gas pump drove me nuts! I got one side filled and the pump gave up after about 5 gallons in the other tank. So I ended up a little uneven on the fuel. After the first landing the brakes were not working very well and the throttle was touchy at bottom end. It was fun when I got Sylvia to take the controls for the first time. Last time I took her up she did not want to try. This time she had one hand on the stick and one hand on my pant leg. With every move of the stick she would grab a little tighter and start saying oh oh oh. I don’t think she could see very well out the front of the plane. We got three landings in before sun down and the air sure was smooth. Felt great to get back up in the air.
