I took Dad with me to test the engine again. It was a little warmer today, about 65 deg. Yesterday was only about 39 deg so I had to warm the engine up with a heater before I started it. One of the problems I had yesterday was the RPM was not reading correctly. I got that problem solved by setting the Grand Rapids EIS to the correct pulse rate. The EIS was set to a 1 instead of a 6 as requested by the Aerovee manual. After about 5 minutes of running I was able to record 100 deg oil temps, 99 psi for oil pressure, 1350 to 1400 EGT, and a top attempted RPM of 2500.
