Brief Description: Engine Build - Cylinder and Piston Assembly
Tonight I installed all the pistons and cylinders to measure the deck height (distance between the top of the piston and the top of the cylinder). The measurement determines the sizes of shims that will be needed to obtain the compression ratio that you wanting to have when the engine is assembled. 7.6:1 compression ratio is what I shooting for which will allow me to burn 100LL and 92 pure auto gas when needed. I measured the head studs to determine how much would need to be cut off of them to clear the rocker assembly and the intake manifold.
