Brief Description:  Glare shield installation

Sylvia to the rescue! There was no way I was going to be able to get myself or my hands where they needed to be to install the nuts on the six bolts that I forgot. Sylvia did a great job helping me install the tank straps, so I thought I would ask for help again. I told her what I needed to do and she said "I'll try". Well that all I could ask as I knew it was going to be very difficult task. After trying for about 10 min without much luck and some hard breathing from Sylvia, she said, Daddy I need a stick or something to hold the nut on. Well not truly understanding what she was talking about, I said, I don't think that will work. I think we might have gotten one on and then Sylvia came up for some air and a drink of water. She decided to get out of the plane for a while to stretch. She walked over by the work bench and was looking around for something. "This is what I was talking about", she said as she held up a 6 inch hinge pin. What are you going to do with that, I asked. She took a nut and a washer and slid them down on the hinge pin. "See Daddy, I can put them on like this and then slide the nut and washer up to the bolt". Great Idea! That's the stick she was referring too. Sylvia proceeded to use that hinge pin for all of the remaining bolts. Believe me it was still not easy for her to get them on, but I don't think she could have done it with out coming up with the great idea to use a stick! Sylvia was very relieved to be finish. I could see that she seemed very happy to be able to help me with such a difficult task. I was really proud of Sylvia today. She showed great problem solving abilities and determination to finish the job of fixing Dads mistake.

I finished out the day installing the rest of the rivets in the glare shield.
