Brief Description: Plan review of SNX-W03 and SNX-04
I spent a couple hours going over the plans tonight with Sylvia. Sylvia got a chance to do a little drilling on the drill press. I think she was almost as excited to get started working on the plane as I was. She had a very small zip lock bag that she found and put a few of the drill shavings in it. I really was not sure what she was going to do with them. I thought maybe a school art project or something. When we were done for the evening she took the little bag of shavings along with the small piece of angle stock she had been drilling with her. Latter I found out that she has a box that she keeps all of her keepsakes in and had put them in it. :)
The time I spent working on the plans was very productive. I am going to finish up the right aileron that was started by the previous owner. I think this is a great place to start as some of the layout work had already been done. I learned the difference between CCP-42 rivets and CCP-44. I went over both SNX-W03 and SNX-04 trying to plan how I was going to finish what was started. I also got out the builders manual and noticed that they give you an order of assembly to follow which correlates with the assemblies and parts on the plans.
