Brief Description:  Firewall forward work

I decided to get some help on teh firewall forward work and the cowling. I had meet Jeff Swords and his dad while at Alexander Technical Center working on the tail feathers. There are really nice people and were recently in the news for their work on AOPA's Catch a Cardinal. The biggest problem was getting the plane down there. I could find no trailer wide enough. Thankfully, Robert allowed me to use his trailer as well as modify it so that the plane could ride on the side rails.

One of our best friends celebrated her 50th birthday the day I was to leave for GA, so I ended up leaving at 3AM the next day in order to go to her party. After the ride through the night and the rain, Jeff and his Dad helped me unload the airplane and after lunch we began the work. I had to remove the cooling baffling so that we could work on the cowling. We also installed the throttle bell crank and exhaust system before we quit for the day.
