Brief Description: Garage setup, workbenches, and tools
Basically this is an overview of my one-car garage, where most of the construction will take place. As I complete large assemblies, I'll store them at a climate-controlled storage facility within walking distance. Once I get to an appropriate point, Manassas Regional is a couple of miles away and the local EAA chapter has a hangar that can be rented for several months at a time for final assembly.
I'm using sawhorses and will use two different tops...the 6' one shown in the first image, and a 9' one for larger assemblies. This way I can move things around for maximum work room. I also have a smaller bench (shown in the back) for tool storage, and eventually a vise, bench grinder, and drill press.
As for the two air compressors...one is oil-free, but I found it makes way too much noise for me, so I bought a small oiled compressor. I'll just connect the two in parallel so I have a larger virtual compressed air tank.
