Brief Description:  Lower cross members

I had a long productive day in the shop today. I started by sanding down the excess glue on the right fuselage. After that was done I stood the sides up and started the bending. I decided to widen the fuselage 4" and put the widest point around the rear spar. I spent a couple hours messing around with different widths and configurations until I finally decided to just start cutting the cross braces. The widest point endend up being 42" right behind the rear spar. The bottom of the fuselage was widened around the same proportion to keep the sides angled inward. I also decided to build the entire fuselage before skinning the sides with the plywood like the plans call for. I've read too many horror stories from other builders snapping longerons during the bending process. Not having the plywood on lets the wood flex on both sides. I was able to bend everything without any issues or snapping sounds. I got seven cross members cut and gussets made for them and then ran out of bar clamps. They are now clamped in and curing.
