I sourced a leaf spring from the local pick n pull that I found laying around for free. I cut a one foot piece, heated it up with a torch, and flattened it with a sledge hammer. Then I cut it to 1 1/2 inch width, ground one end down to fit the tail wheel and started drilling the holes. I still have to bend it to the proper angle but I am waiting on my main landing gear before I can do that. I also started filling the stab and elevator with dry micro and sanding it smooth.
