I received the sheet of 4130 that I purchased off of Ebay. While I was waiting for it to get here, I plotted out the WAF dimensions in CAD. I know these will be difficult to make and are available for purchase but making them myself is half the fun of building. The templates were printed out and glued to the metal with spray adhesive. My first cut attempt was with a jigsaw with a metal cutting bit. After I cut the first WAF out the blade was ruined and I decided to find another way. I purchased an angle grinder and a cut off wheel. This is working much better. I was able to cut 6 out before the blade wore out.
First cut with jig saw. What a mess.
Cutting with the grinder is much easier but still messy
