Brief Description: Rudder/prepping the innards & skins
Spent a couple of hours on Saturday and around 9 on Sunday preparing the skeleton and skins of the rudder for assembly.
Discovered that when I trimmed the bracket that fits under the rudder connecting the bottom rib and skin to the rudder horn too short. When I match drilled the skin, bottom rib and the bracket, there holes were too close to the edge of the bracket. Minimum is 2 diameters, I had a bit over 1. I drilled 3 additional rivet holes between the pre-punched holes and lower on the skin/deeper into the bracket. I have more than the minimum distances between skin edges and also the rivet to rivet distances. Still, I'll seek a more authoratative answer on my fix.
