Brief Description:  Fitted right airbrake cover in wing

Installed brass screw covers over airbrake cover hold down screws. Tried fitting it on right airbrake but it did not fit properly. Had to use dremel with chainsaw sharpner grinding stone to grind out holes so cover slid up and down eaily in airbrake (Airbrake recedes below the wing and springs allow the cover to sit on top. This spring pressure "snaps" the airbrake pushrod in the closed position to hold airbrakes closed when flying). Airbrake was slightly bent, I had to bend it straight. Temporarily assemble airbrake, put it in the closed position and put masking tape along the airbrake slot aligned with the edge of the slot. Slid cover into the holes in the airbrake and then marked with masking tape along the edge of airbrake with a marker. Removed cover and masking tape, then applied tape to top of cover with the mark along the edge of the cover (find the edge by folding the tape over the edge as you apply it). Then ran another piece of masking tape along the inside of the tape I just applied so I sand up to the tape edge rather than sanding all the tap away. Sanded the cover to the egde of masking tape. Re-assembled cover, sanded areas where it was still a little to wide. Marked the ends of cover with tape and sanded them down (remember that the cover will move back and forth in the long direction as airbrake moves from top of slot to below the wing as it applies spring pressure so the ends have to be sanded to account for this). Once airbrake cover fit in slot. Re-marke with tape by measuring 1/2-1 mm from edge of slot so cover will fit in and out of slot easily allowing for slight play in airbrake.
