Thought about it and figured out that the two spar holes did not line up left to right (so the bushing in the front spar was at a slight angle left to right from the rear spar bushing). So as I tried pounding it out, it flexed the front (left wing) spar and increased the angle wedging the pin even more. The solution was to clamp the two spars together at the tip (close to the side of the fuselage). I had to find the perfect camp to fit. Clamping on the tip changed the angle between the two bushings enough that I could now pound out the pin.
