Brief Description:  Prep & Prime

Continue to work on the prep and prime of the fuselage side skins and related parts and peices. I preped and primed the aft belly skin, and the cabin belly skin, this took longer than I expected. I also primed the rear seat belt attach counter sinks. and spacers. Sure dosen't sound like much but it was 6 full hours of work. scotch brited the surfaces prior to priming then tack rag with MEK and shot the skins. I also primed the lap edge for all peices that will be laped. I put two coats on the aft belly skin. Using the craftman spray unit, I've had to relearn the process and speed for shooting AKZO. to much air and not enough paint makes for a rough surface. Slowing down a bit helps but I increased the paint flow and the that made for a smoother finish. It is really a moot point, as the aft section will rearly be seen.
