I'm taking a departure from the plans. I called Vans and they said the Cherry Max rivet is a direct replacement for solid rivets. So to make the installation of the forward belly skin infinatly easier I'm using cherry max rivets to attach the F804U cross member to the F890 floor skin in the area's hidden by the skin and very difficult to access for solid rivets. I will use solid rivets in the open area where the cooling ramp attaches to the floor. That being said I riveted the two lower motor mount brackets to the latteral braces on both sides. Tonight I'll rivet the assymblys to the belly skin.
