Bushing collar is 1/2". Router bit is 1/8" solid carbide.
Routed two 1/2" slots into the wood to match the door post hinge. Scrap aluminum is tried first to confirm slot size and location. Slots are 13.125" apart, but depth will vary... too long here with open ended jig.
Original plan was to have 0.3" skin overlap aft of the door post. Too easy to catch something on that lip, like a foot when exiting the plane.
