"The Bob" recommends the 90 elbow on the gear leg to back towards the aft leg. About 3" in front of that.
Photo is an example, but with aft brake line elbow, it needs to moved to the forward (1") tube.
I used some 0.063" 4130 1" wide strapping. Two clamps to prevent pivoting and flex. For scratch builders, or welding pro's, use some 0.090" 4130 and weld the tab to the tube. Cleaner and faster to make and install. I have done zero welding to my fuselage, hence the AN742 clamps to hold things.
