Brief Description:  Windows

Windows are clear Plexiglass. 3/32" thick material.

I had a bad time with cracking Plexiglass when first cutting. Thankfully I was working on a window, and the crack was just a little larger than the door. Lucked out.

There is a special jig saw blade for cutting Plexiglass. No teeth go outside the blade, tip from Kent White was to belt sand (grinder) the outside edge of the blades to prevent cracking. There are special plexiglass jig saw blades, but wasn't stocked at the local Home Depot, but a wood blade that is close was stocked. Once modified per Kent's recommendations worked fine, but I discovered the grinder was faster and produced a nice edge.

My "bench" is four 2 x 4's across two saw homemade sawhorses (scrap material when I was building the shop). Nice thing is you can space out the 2x4's, then screw the 2'x4's down into the saw horses. Ideal bench top for some work. I toss some 3/4" plywood on top when I need the bench area.

My wing crate is 5' x 14'.. plenty of area, but seems to become a storage area after a while.... so the quick bench is often used.
