- Tapped off the front of the fuselage to create a cowling cut reference line - Laid cowling in place with 1/8" spacing from the rear of the spinner bulkhead and from the top of the spinner bulkhead - Made temporary jig pieces to drill and cleco in place - Drew rough cut reference line, removed the cowling, and cut - Put the cowling back in place with temporary fixtures, measured and drew the cut line - Cut and put the cowling back on - The cut edge will require sanding for final fit
