Right one went well the first time, but left one was a disaster. The left one required two slots for the canopy, these proved very challenging to fabricate. They were 5/32's wide and located in 7/32's from the outside edge and 2 1/16" long. Ended up drilling each end to 5/32" then using a cutoff disk in my dremel to work down the edges to each hole, then a hacksaw blade to finish the rough cut of the slot. I then used a 5/32" chain saw file to clean it up, then slipped a piece of emery paper in the slot to smooth the interior edges. Made two pieces of scrap metal before success. This was a very complicated piece and I hated to waste two pieces because they're almost 60" long, but I'm finally done and I think both pieces turned out nicely.
