Brief Description: finish PTT wiring - program GRT EFIS
I reconnected the line I cut between the stick PTT switch and the piot mic jack.
Reinstalled pilot mic and phone jacks.
DIck Isehrwood arrived and we tested the co pilot PTT circuits. Last night we could not get the co pilot PTT switch to work. We verified the wiring. Then we realized why it did not work last night. The ISO position on the audio panel allows the pilot to isolate the rest of the crew from the radio system. In the ISO mode, only the pilot can transmit. DUH
We worked on programing the GRT EFIS to communicate with the Garmin 396 and the SL 30 radio. We did not have much luck with that. I need to get smart on the settings that need to be made in the devices as well as the Sport EFIS.
I tested the dimming circuit and discovered that the ICOM radio and the audio panel are connected to the dimming circuit and actually dim when the dimmer knobs are turned. I don't even remember wiring that circuit.
