Stefan King met me at the hangar. Stefan is an A&P. We determined the reason the ICOM radio was blowing fuses.
The wiring from the connector had chaffed agains the aluminum flange attached to the Z bar behind the panel which had been originally for the dimmer module. Two wires had chaffed through and contacted the metal.
We tested both Com1 and Com2 radios by doing a radio check with Alan Hoffberg who has a hangar across from mine and down about 3 hangars. Both radios checked out.
I delivered parts from my garage to the hangar, more to go of course.
