Brief Description:  BU Batt wire - G meter

I called GRT and spoke with Nick who is now the guy in charge of EIS support since Sandy departed. Nick walked me through the setup of the EIS aux 6 which I previously labeled as ABATT (aux battery). I could not do it again without his help. I did learn that the holding down the two buttons on the right put the EIS in setup mode, Holding down the two buttons on the left put it in read mode. My unit is an older model which seems to operate differently than the newer models.
I was able to input the required settings, however the EIS read 0 which is supposed to indicate no battery reading.

The green sensor wire from the bu battery was broken. I cut it and used a butt splice (which I got from Sky Craft today) to join it and repair the break. Still the reading was 0.

Worked on the installation of the G meter/clock. I ran a white 22 awg wire to the battery compartment to attach it to the battery and to the 12v in on the G meter/clock. Then I noticed that there was already a small red wire there in the battery compartment. The red wire is a backup power wire for the D6, which I am not sure I will use.

I will have to sort out a couple of things before I finish the G meter installation.
