Brief Description:  SL30-GRT EFIS-GPS antenna tray

DIck Isherwood came by to help.

We tested the radios and found that the ICOM A200 would recieve however the SL30 would not. We worked on trouble shooting it without success. Dick took the SL30 to work on tomorrow. We are hoping to find someone who has a SL30 in their plane so we can swap mine into their panel and see if it works.

I installed the isolation washers on the pilot mic and headphone jacks. That seems to solve the problem of the SL30 transmitting when the mic plug is plugged into the pilot mic jack. The radio signal also seems to be less "on and off" than before.

I attached the GPS antenna tray at the forward end with adel clamps to the engine mount. The aft end will attach to the firewall with stainless steel hardware.

We attached the GPS antenna to both the Garmin 396 and the GRT Sport EFIS to test the GPS inputs. The Sport EFIS showed the map wth the location. Very cool.

I secured the Sport, the garmin 396 dock and the EIS with screws into the panel. That may be the final attachement of those items.
