Brief Description:  dimmer-clock

Removed the dimmer module from the bulkhead because I could not get to it to read the markings or install wires. Refreshed my memory as to the wiring of the dimmer module. Three knobs, each controlling a different circuit, are wired to the dimmer module. The most forward knob is channel 1, with channels 2 and 3 in sequence aft. The power to the unit is wired to the navigation lights as recommended by the manufacturer.

I ran the three wires from the audio panel for the lighting circuit. Each wire was labeled. Two of the wires connected to the avionics lighting buss where the module will feed power to the wires. The other wire was connected to the panel ground.

I ran a wire from pin 24 on the garmin 327 transponder to the avionics lighting bus.

When I started working with the ICOM A200 radio I noticed that two of the wires going into the back of that connector had broken off. It was time consuming, pains taking, and frustrating to remove the pins from the connector, make new wires and install them. After I had finished replacing the broken wires and pins, another one broke. I am not sure where the new broken one is supposed to connect. It is the audio out cable. I will have to look that over with Dick Isherwood next time he comes by.

I started working on the installation of the clock. I need to run a power wire to the battery so that it will supply power even when the master switch is off. I ran a small red wire there, but it turned out to be about 3 inches too short. I will have to get more small wires in order to wire the clock.

My back is painful today.
