Brief Description:  wiring swap and flip flop functions

I only completed one wire in the entire evening.

I identified the wires from the stick grip that go to the left and right positions of the chinese hat using a multi meter to determine continuity. The wire from the left side of the switch is red, the one from the right side is green, Both wires were too short so I extended them with white 22 awg wire long enough to go through the service loop and get to the back of the radio stack.

I dressed the wires along the service loop. The wire from the left side of the chinese hat is the swap switch. It will go to pin 20 on connector J2 of the audio panel. I tried to connect it and discovered that I had installed the wrong size pin on the end of the wire. While I was moving the connector around to indentify the correct pin hole, I broke the black wire in pin 10. I removed the pin from the connector, striped back the wire and installed another pin, then put the pin into the connector with the wire attached. Somewhere along the line I lost my wire cutters. I need them to trim down the end of the wire for the swap connection to pin 20, because the wire is too large.

I did manage to complete the connection from the right side of the stick, green wire extended by a white wire, to the SL 30 radio pin 8 on the larger connector. That will flip flop the freqs on COM 1, the SL30, by using the right chinese hat button on the infinity grip.
