Used JB weld to fill the holes in the panel where I screwed them up while installing the clock.
Made several trips into the tail cone to fabricate a plate on which to mount the remote compasses for the Dynon D6 and GRT Sport. I tried to make the part a few times and never got it right, it is hard to measure back there.
I determined not to put the magnatometers back there because it is very difficult to reach them to adjust them. I searched VAF and found photos of installations of the remote compasses on the deck aft of the fuselage and forward of the vertical stabilizer. If possible, I will mount mine there.
I also asked on VAF for locations where people have mounted their GRT backup battery. Kevin Horton repsonded that it put it on the inboard side of the rib under the floor next to the rear stick. Great Idea. I tried mine in that location and it will fit. I need to get some rubber to put under it to keep it from vibrating.
