Connected the green wire from the backup battery to the gray and red wire from the EIS which is the input for aux position 6.
Went into the setup of the EIS and labeled aux 6 as ABAT. I was unable to enter the other settings because I could not figure out how to do that from the manual.
Ran a 16 awg wire, white with black bands, from the panel ground point to the position under the floor, under the pilots seat, where I connected it with the two black wires from the battery box. That connection was made with blue spade male and female connectors.
Connected the two red wires with white stripes to the white wire with red and yellow bands, hence to the swtich on the left side of the panel.
Connected the red wire with blue stripe from the GRT Sport EFIS pin 2 to the other side of the switch.
tidied up the wiring that goes up the port side.
Prepared a power point document with a diagram of the backup battery system. While doing so I realized that I ommitted the 12v power out wire on pin 7 of the battery box. I also realized that I need to add a fuse on the power out wires. I can put that fuse under the floor near the battery box.
