Brief Description:  FPS wiring, lighting bus, stick wiring

Had lunch with Dick Isherwood, who is building an RV7. He loaned me a crimper for the telephone type terminal that goes on the ELT cable from the main unit to the remote unit. I went to radio shack and bought the 4 wire terminal, cut the ELT cable to length and crimped on the new terminal. I was going to test the ELT but it takes 6 D size batteries, and I only had 4. While at radio shack, I also bought a terminal strip that has screw down type connections. I mounted in on the shelf above the wiring runs and used it to secure the two white wires from the elevator trim cable. They will connect to the stick grip via this wiring strip. I called JD at infinity areospace and ordered 8 feet of cable for the stick grip. I also installed a bus for the lighting wires that will come off the LC-40 dimmer. Installed a ground wire, 16awg, from the FPS common (position3) to the firewall ground. Connected the orange wire from the trim cable bundle to the 5v output terminal of the FPS. Connected the blue wire and orange wire to the FPS terminal as indicated in the email I recieved from Rich at aircraft extras. Tested the flap motor again, and determined that when the red wire is connected to positive terminal on the battery, the flap moves down. When the black wire is connected to the positive terminal of the battery, the flap moves up.
