Brief Description:  FPS and AP

Determined that I would not need a swtich on th epanel for the trim so I removed it. I will use that switch location for the Auto Pilot. I installed a SPST switch but determined that it turned on when the toggle was up, with the keyway up. I check the other SPST switches I bought at skycraft and they are all that way. So I installed a 3 position switch and will only use two of the positions. That results in the correct orientation. Of course, I could use a SPST switch and put the keyway down in areas where I have not already drilled the keyway flange hole in the panel in the up position.

Ran a wire from the main fuseblock to the AP switch and connected it to the switch. I did not install the end into the fuseblock because Dick Isherwood borrowed my butt cheek crimper necessary to put the fitting on the end of the wire appropriate for the fuseblock.

Determined that I can move the circuit breakers to the left a bit since I will have one less switch on the panel having moved the auto pilot swtich into the place of the trim switch which I removed.

Ran a wire from the main bus to the 5 amp circuit breaker for the flaps. Ran another wire from that circuit breaker to the FPS on switch as per the wiring diagram from aircraft extras. Checked the other wiring to the FPS on switch and determined it to be correct.

Verified that port 19 on the FPS goes to ground and to the FPS switch, as indicated on the diagram.

Put the circuit breaker / swtich mock up bar in place and mounted the flap circuit breaker in the left most hole. Connected the wires to it as described above.
