Brief Description:  warning lights

Went to skycraft and purchased a mini switch, DPDT to use as a dimming switch for the warning lights. Removed the pot that was previously installed. Traced a wire from the pot to the ground at the firewall. Cut the wire from the pot and labeled it as ground.

Cut the bundle of wires open and cut the wire leading to the pot. I will not be using the pot but will use a dimmer swtich, not variable, as described by Paul Dye on VAF.

Dick Isherwood and I looked over Pauls diagram and determined how the lights should be wired.

Determined that I need to have a switch to turn the autopilot on, mounted on the panel. I also need an autopilot breaker. I drilled holes for those items in the mock up panel strip as well as a hole for a breaker for the EIS and a hole for the switch to turn on the backup battery that I will get from GRT. I did not have the switches but did have the breakers and installed them in the strip.

Reviewed the backup battery connections on the GRT documents from their website. Also reviewed the autopilot install plans. Had some questions and called them but nobody was there who could answer my questions. I will call back.
