Brief Description: firewall penetrations and wiring
Determined where the alternator B lead connects to the electrical system (at the battery contactor). Also determined that the location of the hole that I made in the firewall yestarday can be used for the EIS wiring as I had planned. I test fitted the wiring harness for the EIS and it will reach from the left side of the panel out the hole in the firewall.
Located a piece of #6 wire that I had previously made up with a 5/16 fitting on one end to attach to the battery contactor.
Obtained a ANL fuseblock from West Marine. I also ordered two 60 amp fuses.
Located an electricians hole cutter that I had bought at a garage sale for $2 which will cut a hole just over 3/4. That is the correct size for the electical connector that is 1/2 in ID.
