I found that the fiberglass patch I placed on the inside of the port skirt set up well. I sanded it down and attached the skirt to the canopy.
I placed a plastic bag on the back of the canopy under the joint where the skirt halves come together at the rear. I cut a rectangular piece of fiberglass cloth, soaked it in resin and placed it on the bag under the joint.
I pushed the ends of the skirt halves together down onto the wet fiberglass patch and held it down with two straps to cure.
It was chilly in the hangar so I used the small white box heater while I worked.
