Brief Description: Drilling elevator horns to airframe, setting trave
Drilled the elevator horns, one at a time for the AN4-12 bolt that will attach them to the airframe. First I drilled a hole through the bushing I made to go into the 1/4 bushing as a drill guide.
I set each elevator to neutral, that is with the ends of the elevators and the ends of the HS clamped together. Then I drilled a pilot hole through the bushing into the elevator horn.
Dick Isherwood stopped by. I experimented with the rod end bearings in the elevators but determined that they were correctly placed notwithstanding the plans instructions to have them at a different length.
Checked the up and down travel of the elevators. Filed the stops for both up and down to give pretty much the full range of motion to the elevators. Both are 24 deg down and om tje acce[tab;e ramge up (I don't remember now).
