I moved the airplane to my hangar at Sanford Airport. Superior towing charged me $150 to haul it. First we tried to get it into their enclosed trailer, it was too wide at the wheel wells of the trailer. They had a flatbed so we put it on the flatbed. It did not occur to me that weather might be an issue until I saw the dark clouds between Orlando and Sanford as I drove to Sanford and encountered heavy rain.
When I got to the airport the flatbed was already there in fron of my hangar. I had called ahead and asked Kristie to let the truck in so that it would not have to wait for my arrival. Phil, who works for SE Ramp had opened my hangar door and allowed the truck into the secure area. The truck was in front of my open hangar when I got there with Phil and the truck driver unloading the plane just as it began to rain lightly. The truck had avoided the rain between Orlando and sanford. I tipped the truck driver $20 for his rain dodging ability.
I secured the plane in my hangar and attended the first friday celebration at the SE Ramp which inlcuded an airshow.
