Brief Description: bu battery - autopilot wiring - gps tray
Attached the GPS tray to the firewall using two small screws with nylock nuts on the inside of the firewall.
Worked on the backup battery system. I previously installed only two of the three power out wires on the connector to the battery box. Tonight I tried to install the third one but I was unable to install the red wire with white stripe that looks like the other two already in the connector. It would not fit. I noticed that it was significantly shorter than the other two wires as well which will present a problem. I wonder if it is indeed the wire that should go in that location.
Attempted to identify loose wires that have not yet been landed. I identified the tab block on the rib under the pilot seat as a connector for the autopilot connections. I reviewed the GRT autopilot diagram to confirm the connections. I attached the red power wire from the switch on the panel to the connector. I attached the red power wire from the servo to another tab in the same section as the power wire to the switch.
I cut the white wire with a black stripe that runs from the pitch servo to the location behind the EFIS, and attached it to another section of tabs on both cut ends. I will have to attach the white wire with black stripe to the blue wire from pin 34 on the EFIS connector, which is serial out.
There is a serial in connection on the EFIS, according to the diagram. I need to determine which pin it is and connect the appropriate wiring from the servo.
