Brief Description:  nutplates - support angles - countersinking

Today I mailed my registration form to the FAA.

BTW, this is the 45th anniversary of my first day in the Marines.

I trimmed down the large angle pieces that will support the sides of the radio stack, they were too deep and interfered with the dimples on the side of the trays.

I countersunk the holes on the front of the panel where rivets will secure the small angle pieces that will secure the air gizmo mount. I drilled holes in the sides of those angles in 4 places that I marked last night. Those four holes will be used to mount the air gizmo mount to the angle pieces.

Drilled holes for the nutplates for the #6 screws that will secure the GRT sport to the panel. I went to skycraft at lunch today and bought some #6 screws for that purpose.

Worked with the avionics and their trays to detemine the alignment for mounting.

Downloaded the installation manuals for the ICOM A200, SL30, Garmin 327 and PMA 8000B and read them.
