Brief Description:  cutout for radio stack - angle braces - dynon

I cut out the rectangle for the radio stack, and made it just a touch, perhaps 1/16 too wide. I made it just wide enough for the tray to slip through, when I should have made it just wide enough for the front of the radios to come out the front and have the tray not come out.

Dick Isherwood stopped by to help. He drilled out the 4 holes to mount the Dynon 6 which will be used as a backup EFIS.

I went to Skycraft today and bought angle pieces about 2x2. I cut them down to fit the radio stack sides and drilled them on. We also cut down and drilled on the smaller angle that wil secure the air gizmo below the GRT Sport. I marked the sides of the angles in 4 places where holes for #8 screws will be drilled and nutplates installed on the backside of the angle to accept the screws to secure the air gizmo.

We put the GRT Sport in place and drilled the 4 holes to secure it. I will need to get 4 #i6 screws of the right length to secure it to nutplates that I will install behind the panel to accept the screws.

I cleaned up the hole for the GT 50 clock and test fitted it. I will need to find or make a template to drill holes for #6 screws that will secure it.

We got a lot done tonight. The panel is really coming together. Having the help of Dick Isherwood is invaluable since he has already built an RV. His help reduces the time that it takes to figure things out.
