Brief Description:  fuel hose and ground cable

I removed the fuel hose from the mechanical fuel pump to the fuel injector body, VA 136 and took it to Southern Aviation in Zellwood. I asked if they could cut it and put it back together with fittings for the flowscan transducer to be installed in the line. They said they could. Once they cut it they discovered that it is a stainless braid covered hose, which they could not deal with.

I took it to a speed shop in the 1000 block of West Pine. They could not handle it and referred me to the hydrolic house across from the fairgrounds on Rt 50. They would not put fittings on it for me, that would be a "hose repair" which they do not want the liability of. Same thing with Amazon hose.

Hydrolic House did say the could prepare the pigtail that I need for the high pressure pump to the firewall fitting. It would cost about $26. In retrospect I am not sure that there is room for the end fitting and a bend in that area.

I called Stephan King who said he could probably put fittings on the hose if I could get the fittings.

I went to skycraft and made up a 24 inch section of #2 wire for the ground. I had done that before but it was too short.....twice. After teaching class at Barry I drilled out the holes in the end fittings to 5/16 and installed the ground wire.
