Brief Description: fabricated and installed rods to attach tabs of l
I purchased 1/8 steel rod from Ace Hardware. I lost the first set on the way home because they fell off my motorcycle and I did not see them leave.
I drove back and bought two more rods. I cut them to length and threaded the ends with a #6 die. I will need a long bit to drill the holes out in the tabs of the lower baffles. A #27 bit is the proper size. I don't have one, even if I did have one, it would not be of sufficient length to reach the rear baffle tabs.
I was able to get my small drill motor into the area to enlarge the holes in the tabs, both front and back. I installed the rods using stainless #6 nylon locknuts and stainless washers.
