Brief Description:  riveted on rubber seal, fit seal to intake, trim c

I purchased a new pop rivet squeezer from Ace hardware and picked up where I left off yestarday, riveting the rubber seal on the top of the baffle. I completed the entire top.

Next, I cut, fit, drilled and clecoed the rubber seal on the lower cowl intake ports.

I removed the fiberglass flange pieces from the upper cowl that go over the inlet areas. I trimmed those pieces so that they would not interefere with the rubber seal fit with the cowling.

I fitted the cowl without those flanges in place to see if the flange binding against the rubber seals was causing the cowl not to seat properly. Sure enough, the top cowl fits much better without the flanges in place, suggesting that the flanges are causing interference.
