Dick Isherwood came by with his safety wire and pliers. We installed the oil filler tube using permatex gasket maker, black, instead of the paper gasket that came with it. We safety wired the tube in place. We had to file the plastic threads on the tube to get it to thread into the engine.
We cleaned up the edges of the baffles, in preparation for attaching the air seal. Opened the air seal package, noting the presence of the tubing used to cover the safety wire that will attach the front and back baffle pieces flange to flange, under the engine.
I drilled out about 6 rivets holding the small aluminum strip on the firewall near the baggage door in place. I replaced with with another strip that was a better fit and riveted that into place.
Looked at the fuel hose placement. Not sure what to do there.
