Brief Description:  hole for fuel hose and scat tub for mech fuel pump

I realized that the hole I had made for the fuel hose which runs from the fuel injection servo to the spider on the top of the engine, was placed too high in the rear baffle. I decided to make another hole lower and use the upper hole for a scat tube to cool the mechanical fuel pump.

I cut a 1" hole about an inch and a half below the existing hole in the rear of the baffle near the oil cooler area. That hole will work for the hose from the servo to the spider. I attached a 1" flange on the back of the upper hole with 3 pop rivets. I will use that flange for a scat tube to cool the mechanical fuel pump.

I tried the hose and found that it will attach to the fuel spider however there will not be much if any slack in it when attached.

The baffles are completed now, except for the rubber material and a reinforcement for the oil cooler area. Paul Dye has a good example of that reinforcement posted on VAF.

I also determined some of the fittings that I need for the FWF application.
