Brief Description:  Trim top baffle to cowl gap

I used the black spring clips that are used to clip papers (not paper clips) to determine how close the gap between the cowl and the top of the baffles. I placed the clips on the baffle top edges, just barely clamping the baffle pieces. I then placed the cowl on and installed the pins in the cowl horizontal joint.

I reached in through the oil door and the front inlets and marked the bottom of the clips with a sharpie. I used 35 clips.

I removed the cowl and marked the bottom of the clips in the other areas that I could not reach through the oil door and inlets. I removed the clips, removed the baffle sections and trimmed them down. I used the power sander to clean up the edges. I trimmed the front sections on each side in place in order to avoid having to remove the lower cowl to remove the front baffle sections.

I did not finish. I still have to do the last part of the starboard front side baffle at the inlet as well as the front bulkhead.

Vans shipment arrived today. It contains some firewall forward items. I am afraid that the fuel hoses might not fit because they seem too short.
