After refabricating the cowl mounting strips last night I tried the ones supplied by Ned Bowers. The mounting points on Neds strips are 3.5 inches apart. After some trial and error, I managed to place the strips in a position that works. The middle point of the airplane is the starting point. The first mounting point will be there and the others will be spaced 3.5 apart until the cowl line. The natural placement of the mounting point works out well to place the last mounting point above the cowl line about 1 in above the line. Another mounting point will be one inch below the cowl mounting line.
