Brief Description:  fitting cowling

Worked with the top cowl until I got it aligned as well as possible. I used a .250 bar and very thin piece of fiberglass that was left over from the slot for the nosegear in the bottom of the cowl as spaces. The toatal width of the spacers is about .310 or 5/16. The spacer was attached to the rear of the spinner with tie wraps. The upper cowl was snugged up against the spacer and leveled by measuring from the floor of the shop to the bottom of the cowling on both sides.

When the top cowling was in place I drilled and clecoed it at the area on each side where the cowl halves meet.

I worked on trimming the lower cowl and fitting it. I use a strap that I bought today at skycraft to secure the cowling in place on the fuselage.
