Brief Description:  Cowl fastener mounting strip, drying plugs

Dried out the pellets in the drying plugs and turned them nice and blue again.

I finally seem to have figured out the placement of the camlocks on the top of the firewall. For some reason I thought that I had tried the 3.5 spacing and found it unacceptable. That may be because I measured all the way down the sides at that spacing and found that the camlocks on the lower sides would interfere with the lower engine mount bolts. I did not take into account that the cowl line split would alter the spacing and probably eliminate that problem. In any case the top and bottom cowls should be addressed separately with respect to the spacing.

I also noticed that the prop extension does not fit flush against the ring gear on the front of the engine. There is about 1/4 gap.

I am confused about the spinner and associated hardware. I ordered the fixed pitch spinner backing plate from Vans to use with the catto prop. That backing plate does not fit the spinner that came with my kit, which is for a CS prop. The holes in the backing plate are also too small for it to fit on the prop extension. I will have to figure that out.
