Torqued and cotter pinned the last of the engine mount bolts. All engine mount bolts are torqued to between 160-190 inch pounds as specified in the standard aircraft book.
Installed the washer and nut on the nosegear leg, torqued to 225 inch pounds, the limit of my torque wrench. I will torque it later to 450-500 inch pounds as specified in the standard aircraft book.
Examined cooling ramp and the area to which it will attach. I will probably need to add some stiffining to the ramp because of the vibration and cracking reported by other RV8 owners and pilots. I investigated that on VAF, no firm conculsion as the the best method.
