Brief Description: firewall penetration for fuel, prepare for engine
Drilled 9/16 hole in firewall at pre determined location as specified by plans for fuel line to run through the firewall.
Examined plans and did inventory of engine mounting, and engine mount mounting hardware. Discovered that the plans call for castle nuts and drilled bolts, although the plans are vague in drawings. The nuts specified are clearly castle nuts, although the plans do not show cotter pins or drilled bolts. I could find only one drilled AN6 bolt and one castle nut.
Prepared an order to be placed with aircraft spruce but waited to send it. Then I found the bolts, nuts and cotter pins that I had previously ordered and thought that I had lost, while looking for something else.
