I put one of the main wheels on its axle, it was no problem. I could only do one because I do not have the hardware to install the flange on the axle of the second wheel. I am waiting for hardware from skybolt.
Since there was not much else to do with the wheels, I decided to install the aileron push rod boots that prevent air from entering the fuselage through the holds that the push rods pass through. I used the template included in the kit that I purchased from flightline interiors to fabricate an aluminum plate that will attach to the side of the fuselage with nutplates to hold the boot in place. After I had finished making the plate I read on Randy Leverold's wesite that the template supplied is too small. Sure enough, it is. I had to make two more plates.
